Agentova + Google Sheets: spreadsheets kept up to date by your agents

With Google Sheets connected, your agents read and fill in your existing spreadsheets: adding a row, finding a value, fixing a cell. They do it during the conversation, whenever you ask them.

What your agents do with Google Sheets

  • Feed a tracking spreadsheet

Ask an agent to add one or more rows to your lead, order or applicant tracking file. If the row already exists, it can update it instead of creating a duplicate.

  • Find a row from a value

The agent looks for the row that contains a name, an order number or a reference in a column. It answers with that row's information, without you opening the file.

  • Read a cell range and summarize it

The agent reads the values in a range or the rows of a tab, then summarizes what it finds in the chat. Useful for reviewing a table of figures kept by your team.

  • Structure and format a file

The agent creates a tab or a new spreadsheet, adds a column, and applies conditional formatting or a list of allowed values. It can also protect a range to prevent accidental edits.

  • Open an agent-made spreadsheet in Google Sheets

An Excel or CSV file generated by an agent opens in one click in Google Sheets, converted to Google format. This feature uses your workspace's Google Drive connection.

Frequently asked questions

What data does the agent read and write in Google Sheets?

It reads the cells, rows and tabs of the spreadsheets the connected account has access to. It only writes what you ask for: an added row, an edited cell, a new tab.

Does the agent act on its own in Google Sheets?

No. Google Sheets actions run during a conversation, when you ask an agent to read or edit a spreadsheet. Nothing is changed in Google Sheets unless you ask for it in the chat.

Do I need to connect Google Drive as well as Google Sheets?

To read and edit your spreadsheets, the Google Sheets connection is enough. To open an Excel or CSV file produced by an agent in Google Sheets, Agentova uses the Google Drive connection.

Can I connect multiple Google Sheets accounts?

Yes. Multiple Google Sheets accounts can be connected to the same workspace, depending on your plan. Agents use the one you set as the default, and you can change that choice at any time.

Can you connect Google Sheets to ChatGPT?

Agentova doesn't connect your spreadsheets to ChatGPT. Its agents connect to Google Sheets to add a row, find a value or format a tab, whenever you ask them in the chat.

How do I disconnect Google Sheets?

Open the AI Brain, then the Integrations tab, and remove the Google Sheets account. Agents then no longer have access to its data or its actions.
